About

The Mahagastotte estate is located in the Nuwara Eliya, the highest region of Sri Lanka at an altitude of 6,200 feet above sea level. Mahagastotte in Sinhalese means "place with large trees." The best teas are harvested from February to April. This estate is also known as "Lovers Leap" named after the tragic legend of two young lovers who leapt from the top of a picturesque waterfall on the estate. This is an area of outstanding beauty, where the crisp mountain carries the fragrance of abundant cypress trees, eucalyptus, and wild mint.

Description

The teas from Mahagastotte estate are like Champagne made from cool climate grapes picked just before they get too ripe. Overall an exquisite and alluring tea.

Preparation

Heat water to 212 F, steep 4 minutes. Then think, was Darwin right?
